What's With The Logo?
Last Updated 9th August 2007

Many of you that know me might be thinking what the logo above actually means, why did I choose that, and maybe how it came about in the first place. Well, here, I plan to reveal all.
The Original Logo
Unfortunatley, I don't have a copy of the original logo, the original concept. However, it was as early as 2004 that I had made some software, and wanted to give it a logo. I was using an application called Xara webster to design the logo, but the objects I could use in it were rather limited. However, it contained a couple of arrow styles, so, with a bit of modification, I made a logo that, in the end, basically looked something like the one below (but with shadows).

Course, that isn't exactly the most... imaginative logo in the world. Anyhow, that was quickly laid to rest. Until 2006, that is...
Iteration 2
At this point, I had started at University, and during some rather... mundane/boring lectures, where most people didn't even turn up (and those on my course will know who they are and what lectures I am on about), I started drawing in my notepad, as does everyone else in these lectures, (if they aren't drawing on the table, that is...) The result was that I came up with this. My facination for including arrows hadn't disappeard, blatently!

What I drew lead the the next mock-up of the design.

As you can see, the arrows are seperate here. But, it is much closer to the design in use now.
Why this though? Well, apart from the arrows, if you look at the image, the arrows actually form an "N" shape, from my last name, Naylor. This design wasn't seen by many people, and only one person actually asked what it stood for.
I had also asked a friend of mine, Ben Dawson, to refine the logo for me. This, however, didn't happen at first due to time contraints on both parts.
To the Present
Around the time iDeskbook development started, Ben suddenly produced this logo for me, for use in iDeskbook.

As I liked it, however, and my intention was always to use this "N" logo as my personal identity on the Web, this was used for a while. I then later added a glow to it, to make it what is the current logo.

However, the logo isn't finished. While I like it, there is still some refining to be done, which will happen in the near future. But, I think it is pretty good as it is now!
