Adam Law (http://adamdlaw.com/)

Adam Law was one of my office mates during my PhD, though one year ahead of me. He studies soft matter theory - his PhD was on "the theory of interactions between particles confined at interfaces" and he is now working in the Dietrich Group at the Max-Planck-Institut für Intelligente Syeteme, Stuttgart as a post-doctoral researcher.

Ryan Laird (http://rjmlaird.co.uk/)

Ryan Laird is a PhD student currently studying at Kent University at the Centre for Astrophysics and Planetary Science. His project title is "Astronomical Observations of Comets at Optical and Thermal-Infrared Wavelengths" and is a member of the Royal Astronomical Society. He was selected as the only UK representative to the start of The International Year of Astronomy 2009.

Matthew Anyon (http://mjanyon.co.uk)

Matthew Anyon is one of my current office mates, and is studying for a PhD titled "Charaterisation of adhesive effects in insects". He is studying the bio-mechanics of insect adhesion to smooth surfaces, in particular, he has studied certain species of ants and ladybirds (of which the latin names are on his website - I've got no idea!). He won the Department of Physical Sciences (Chemistry and Physics) Colloquia Prize for best presentation 2011, something he doesn't let me live down (mainly becuase my presentation was pretty good too!)
